The RoHS directive, or the Directive on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment, was adopted by the European Union in February 2003. Enforced from July 1, 2006, in each member state, this directive restricts the use of hazardous substances. The standard ABS plastic utilized in New Age enclosures complies with RoHS requirements, and material certification is available upon request.
